Description

This is an excellent combination from the Sabinas Mine in Zacatecas, Mexico, which works a skarn ore body: sharp Chalcopyrite crystals to half a centimeter are associated with short prismatic, slender sparkling Quartz. Both species partially cover a matrix of large, white Calcite. The patina of the Chalcopyrite is mesmerizing with a play of color of bluish and olive hues.
