Description

This is a superb specimen from the San Luis Shaft of the Proaño Mine in Fresnillo. Several Pyrargyrite crystals measuring up to 1.1 cm in size are loosely clustered and sit on a matrix of white short prismatic, small Quartz crystals. The perfect, steel-grey-metallic Pyrargyrite crystals have a stubby, distinct six-sided habit, and perfect flat terminations. The prism faces are dusted with a thin layer of brass-colored Chalcopyrite micro crystals. A very balanced and aesthetic piece! This is really an excellent miniature-sized specimen in outstanding quality, an enrichment to any collection.
