Description

Here we see a truly excellent Manganite specimen from the classic deposit for this species, featuring strikingly high metallic luster and crystals measuring 1.6 cm in length. Black minerals are often dismissed by many collectors, but Ilfeld Manganites are among those black minerals that set the standard in terms of beauty and brilliance, rivaling all others. These old finds from the late 1880s in Germany are by far the finest examples of their species and are most sought after by collectors. This impressive piece features dozens of columnar crystals with outstanding luster and classic PRISTINE terminations. This specimen "boasts" exemplary quality and aesthetics, combined with incredible luster.
