Description

A wonderful combination-locality piece, more precisely a one-time find of Dr. Manfred Schönfelder, Leverkusen. In the late 2010s he discovered a bunch of miarolitic cavities at the pegmatites around Penalva do Castelo in northern Portugal. This specific find is very precisely described in Lapis 5/2018 p. 24 - 31. Here we have a superb combo of bow-tie shaped, 1.9 cm measuring golden-brown Stilbite, accompanied by creamy and glassy Albite, and several Smoky Quartz crystals as beautiful contrast. The entire display face is scattered with tiny yolk-yellow coloured Stilbite crystals what gives the specimen more aesthtic appeal.
