Description

This is an unusual combination piece of two EXTREMELY RARE species from the famous Sterling Hill Mine near Ogedensburg, New Jersey. This is the TYPE LOCALITY for one of the two species, Kraisslite, and this is named in honor of the collector couple Alice and Fred Kraissl of North Hackensack, New Jersey. The Kraisslite here forms glassy, ​​reddish-brown, highly lustrous embedded crystals. It is accompanied by pinkish-brown, also very rare, Holdenite and metallic black Franklinite. A top combo that is rarely available anymore.
