Description

Glowing crystals of deep lilac, cubed Fluorite nicely perched atop a rich mass of beautifully crystallized Sphalerite, the zinc ore that was the focus of the Elmwood mine for decades before it closed a few years ago. The Fluorites measure up to 1.5 cm on edge, has very good luster and that typical quadrangular pattern along the faces. You can see how the deep coffee-brown Sphalerite has formed large, highly lustrous euhedrals, on whose surface are hundreds of small, complex subcrystals. Highly aesthetic material at an absolutely fair price, in my opinion.
