Description

Here we see a well-formed, textbook-shaped, doubly terminated, salmon-orange Serandite crystal on a Feldspar-Natrolite matrix, 2.2 cm large, as a colorful miniature sized specimen from Mont Saint-Hilaire in Canada. This sharp, blocky Serandite is locally translucent along two major faces and features beautiful luster along these faces; the other crystal faces display a satin-like luster. This would have been found in the the late 1980s and beautiful pieces like this one are still history and hard to get on the mineral market meanwhile,- especailly for a reasonable price, like this specimen.
