Description

A beautiful, slightly elongated specimen richly covered with superbly defined and metallic Bournonites. The major crystal measures 1,3 cm on edge and its neighboring "cousins" are as well as pristine as itself. (Minor edge wear you only find at the periphery where the specimen was contacted). The Bournos here are very sharp edged and showing fresh luster with the perfect amount of patina. There are of course new Bournonites coming from China, but these old European ones are still greatly prized especially in this rare almost pristine condition! This would almost certainly date to the late 1800s and a piece with crystals of such integrity, aesthetics and sharpness is rare on the market.
