Here we see a superb specimen of Pyrite-coated Polybasite from the famous Himmelfahrt Fundgrube of Freiberg Saxony. This super piece hosts two, not absolutely perfect but anyway SUPERB AND LARGE CRYSTALS with fine striation and the larger one measures 1,7 across. Polybasite in this more or less textbook crystal habit shown here is 100-plus years old and almost never seen for sale in specimens. This is an old classic, and also an aesthetic small cabinet sized specimen. A truly remarkable piece from this famous mine, and from the collection of Dr. Pesl, Vienna.
