Description

This is a great cluster of gem Rubellite crystals to 5 cm tall on little Cleavelandite matrix. The Tourmaline species with its striated prisms is deep red with a faint violet hue. A very colorful specimen from the gem pegmatites of the Pala Mining District in southern California.
