Description

At first glance, it certainly doesn´t look like an eye-catcher, but when you pick up this amazing whopper, weighing exactly 500 grams, you immediately see that you´re holding a magnificent specimen. It´s a Scheelite crystal, enormous by alpine standards, measuring 7 cm in diameter. It is associated with minor but typical matrix, is extremely dense, and gemmy. The color of the crystal-clear Scheelite , ranges from colorless to a very delicate light beige. A fantastic piece from a single pocket discovered in the 1980s that yielded not much more than two dozen good specimens. Despite not perfect, it´s still a top-quality alpine Scheelite and a must-have for every alpine collector.
