Description

A truly outstanding piece of two rare species. Sidorenkite, as a honey-yellow gemmy, highly lustrous single crystal associated with the extremely RARE sodium yttrium carbonate Shomiokite-(Y). The entire piece is covered with numerous smaller Shomiokite-(Y) crystals, with the major crystal aggregate reaching an enormous 2.8 cm in length. It is completely transparent, has a beautiful glassy luster, and a pale violet color. A superb piece in which a rare species occurs in large crystals, not as we all know, usually in microcrystals—and, what´s more, from the TYPE LOCALITY.
