Description

An excellent and very aesthetic slab, abundantly covered with excellent short prismatic Fluor-Buergerite crystals up to 1 cm with their typical trigonal cross section. Fluor-Buergerite is a rare member of the Tourmaline group and the Fluor-Buergerite Occurrence in Mexquitic de Carmona in the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí Mexican deposit is not only the type locality but also the only truly confirmed locality for the species in the world. The crystals, which grew in relative isolation, have the typical bronze-brown color with high luster and perfect formation. The occurrence of Mexquitic de Carmona provided a major single find in the late 1960s, which could never be repeated because the finder unfortunately passed away and took his secret with him. The exact location was never revealed. A super aesthetic top piece.
