Description

This "threesome" of superb Rhodochrosite crystals measure 3,6 cm in diameter and it is breathtakingly gemmy and colourful, set against contrasting Goethite matrix. Of course, scalenohedral crystals, you can get better from South Africa - one from this locality would always be inferior in worldwide context. However, this unusual modified scalenohedral form with the flat terminal faces, this is much more unique to the locality and a truly great one (such as this) stands out a lot more in a collection even when plunked down next to stereotypical N`Chwaning Rhodo. The display face of the crystals is almost perfect and despite there are smaller contacts at the reverse side this is agreat piece with superb aesthetics and best colour and luster of Rhodo you can imagine.
