This is a phantastic 360 degree specimen of superbly defined Pyromorphite from the famous Daoping Lead Mine of China. Daoping is renowned for its superb Pyromorphites and this apple-green Pyros have very good luster and form, and the largest crystal extends a full 1,3 cm on one side of the piece. Hoppered growth, the result of polysynthetic crystal growth, is one of the hallmarks of many Daoping Pyromorphites, and this habit is highly coveted. China has been one of the most productive countries for new material over the last two decades, with Daoping being the most significant of a few nearby producing localities. The aesthetics of this mini is stunning form any angle, due to large and dramatic crystallization. A super aesthetic specimen with only minor edge wear.
