Description

A fine and typical miniature sized specimen of the classic olive-green Pyromorphite that set the standard from this famous locality for coloured Pyromorphite. Green Pyros such as this were always much rarer than the more widespread and plentiful brown Pyros from the same general area. This is a showy miniature with only minor edge wear and typical dark olive colour. This is almost certainly from the noted Merkur Mine, which produced the fattest such crystals known for their typically dark colour, with intergrown curved barrel-shaped crystals as you see here. RARE!
