Description
A beautiful bow-tie shaped cluster of canary-yellow Legrandite, accented by a single, white Calcite crystal on gossan matrix from famous Mexican locale Ojuela Mine of Mapimi, Durango. The Legrandites here are well formed, sharp edged and almost superbly terminated. The crystals are transparent and gemmy and the overall aesthetics of this great thumber is superb. Modern Legrandites found at the same locality in the last decade have a more lemony colour and less luster to them - nothing matches these from the first big find here in the early 1980s.
