Description

This is a complex and very striking small cabinet sized specimen of glassy, transparent, gemmy BLUE crystals of Celestine that grow as wonderful six-sided parquetted clusters. The crystals are strikingly highly lustrous and the Celestine has slightly chisel-shaped multifaceted glistening terminations. Most of the crystals reach up to 2.2 cm and they are nicely perched on a shard of yellow Sulphur. This is by far the best and most aesthetically pleasing Celestine specimen that I have seen in private hands over the last few decades and the best that has passed through my hands over the years. An absolute top piece with a captivating aesthetic impact. Naturally pristine all around and absolutely three-dimensional. This piece comes from the old La Grasta mine near Caltanissetta, which was defunct in 1987, and is definitely A KILLER PIECE all the way.
