Description

Apatite crystals from the Austrian Alps, and especially the Zillertal in Tyrol, are nothing special in themselves. In this case, however, we are looking at crystal-clear, creamy, six-sided crystals with a perfect, enormous, 1.9 cm measuring major crystal intergrown with smaller "cousins", and nicely perched on a matrix of beige Calcite scalenohedrons. The distinctly beveled edges further emphasize the overall aesthetic. Slight but visible bruising on the left side of the piece doesn´t detract from the overall appearance. A magnificent alpine Apatite mini.
