Description

This is an exceptionally good specimen of the RARE mercury-antimony sulfosalt Livingstonite from the TYPE LOCALITY of Huitzuco, Guerrero, Mexico. Originally it was described by Mariano Barcena in 1874. This is by far one of the finest Livingstonite specimens went through my hands over the years! The crystals of this specimen consist of metallic, light lead-gray, slender, prismatic, and columnar crystals up to 2 cm long, intergrown with Stibnite. Occurs in low-temperature hydrothermal veins at this locality in Mexico.
