Description

This is a fine old-timed thumbnail specimen of very rare cadmium carbonate Otavite, typically accompanied by less blue-green Rosasite. In this case you see glistening cream-white microcrystals richly covering the matrix. Otavite was firstly discovered at Tsumeb by Otto Schneider in 1906 and named after the Otavi Highlands. This is a super piece in splendid condition and analyzed as well. Ideal for the collector of Tsumeb minerals and also rare species.
