Description

An excellent combination specimen with very beautifully crystallized six-sided Charlesite, very rich on the back and equally beautifully crystallized but in exceptionally aesthetic association with glassy colorless Calcite on the front. This special circumstance gives the stage significantly more aesthetics, contrast and excitement. Charlesite is a very rare sulphate containing Ca, Al, Si and B and forms glassy translucent well-formed, pale lemon yellow crystals. Definitely a top specimen, and who cares when mindat claims that data are lacking to prove the existence of Charlesite from South Africa.
