Description

Just a mini, but what one, this great, old-time specimen with numerous snow-flakes composed of Copper crystals and richly scattered over gossan matrix. The Copper crystals here are typically coated with green Malachite what gives this great piece way more aesthetics and dramatics. Better in balance as the larger piece before. Definitely a top item from a long time gone find in the 1950s at the famous Wolf Mine at Herdorf in Siegerland. The Wolf mine is one of the younger mines of the district. Mining started about 1870 when limonite ore was extracted via adits. Finally in 1962 the mine was completely closed.
