Description

Here we have an extremely rich small cabinet specimen of well formed and partly sharp Chlorargyrite (Embolite) crystals with minor Quartz from Broken Hill. These were found in the early 1900s and this would be considered a very RICH SPECIMEN! The crystals range from yolk yellow to brown and olive-green in colour and have a wet, vitreous luster - not so ugly in person as you might think. Embolite, once a valid species, is today called Bromian Chlorargyrite. These specimens are hard to find and very historical, having come out of the ground prior to WWII. No imperfection worth to report so far I can see. A super old time Aussie
