Description
At first glance this specimen looks like Psilomelane or Goethite, and in the past, these pieces have been labeled as such. However, more recent analyses have shown that it is actually Romanechite. And this specimen shows the botryoidal habit (“Glaskopf”) which is typical for the locality: Black Spherical clusters to 2 cm in diameter with a metallic luster.
