Description

Cyanotrichite from Lavrion, Greece: this is classic and typical material that has now almost completely disappeared from the market. It has always been rare because in the past, most Cyanotrichite turned out to be fibrous Azurite. The secondary Copper mineral occurs in radial acicular crystal aggregates, light to cyan blue in color, and typically sits on turquoise colored Gibbsite, however, I have to admit, that in this case the Gibbsite has not been confirmed by an analysis. But trust me, it is highly likely. This is an incredible specimen: rare, colorful and aesthetic!
