Description

Jeremejevite is a rare borate mineral, and the Erongo Region in Namibia has produced the finest crystals of the species known. This exceptionally attractive specimen is super gemmy, sharp, and lustrous crystal. For me it is hard to see if the crystal is termianted or not, but I can not recognize richness of faces. The powder-blue colour, with just a hint of violet, is gorgeous, especially when enhanced by the gemminess. The locality is a pegmatite directly on the beach in Namibia and has produced very little in the way of Jeremejevite since one spectacular world´s best pocket back around 1980 This aesthetic Jeremejervite is a large and very fine crystal for the species.
