Another uncommon piece of this current auction. A vug in typically Quartz matrix is richly covered with mint-green slightly rounded but anyway well defined Smithsonite crystals from the well known Glücksrad Mine of Oberschulenberg in Harz Mountains. The Smithsonite features a fine silky luster and is lucent to transparent. Of course not comparable with the great worldwide localities in Mexico, Tsumeb or Lavrion, but such material is exceeding rare and consequently hard to come by. A great opportunity.
