Description

Here we have a superb combo of classic German silver sulfosalts Stephanite and Pyrargyrite from Gang Brahmaputra (Brahmaputra Vein) of Shaft 366 in Schlema, Saxony. Both species are well formed, sharp edged and well terminated. The Stephanite here has steel-gray colour, is six-sided formed, slightly disc-shaped and has a fine metallic sheen. The Pyrargyrite is six-sided as well but more blocky and robust and has, additionally to its fine metallic sheen a distinct hint of red in colouration. Due to the lack of contrast it was hard to convey the quality of the piece in the pics, so this one is much better in person.
