This is a neat specimen of beautiful gemmy crystals of Hessonite (Grossular) Garnets from the prime location at the Jeffrey mine by the town of Asbestos in Canada. Several single crystals of the Grossular variety Hessonite, measuring to 8 mm across on gray matrix. The Hessonite crystals showing a delightful gemmy, light burnt-orange to brown and form superb multi-sided crystals with bright lustrous faces and stepped edges between faces. A good item of Hessonite Garnet from the classic Jeffrey mine. Very good aesthetics.
