Description

Wonderful, divergent groups of Proustite crystals with a total size of up to 1.1 cm are nicely and contrastfully scattered over a plate of flattened, creamy-white to gray Calcite rhombs. Proustite crystals are characteristically ruby ​​red to metallic gray with much parallel growth to the individual crystals. These have a scalenohedral basic form, partly consisting of smaller individual crystals and sometimes with natural solution phenomena. An extremely rich specimen from the classic Czech Měděnec deposit, about 20 km northeast of Jachymov. The pictures cannot convey the three-dimensionality and aesthetics of the piece so this one is much better in person
