Description

Here we have a stunning piece of the relatively rare copper arsenic sulfosalt Luzonite in small but exquisitely formed, multifaceted crystals. The color is brassy with wonderful tarnish, and the loosely intergrown crystals form spherical-looking aggregates up to 0.8 cm in diameter. They are nicely perched on a specimen of discuss-shaped beige Siderite rhombs, which is a wonderful piece in itself. Analyzed material from the collection of Dr. Manfred Schönfelder, Leverkusen, who personally acquired the piece on site from the miners in the late 1980s.
