Description

Here we have an old-time, classic, small cabinet specimen from the famous Bigrigg mine of Egremont, England. Stout, glassy, transparent, colorless Calcite crystals with the so-called typical nailhead terminations richly and aesthetically perched on the mounded matrix on this fine piece. The Calcite crystals are up to 3.0 cm long and all central crystals are pristine. This is a very fine example of this important Calcite varietal from this historic locale. Probably 100 years old or older.
