Description

This fine specimen with excellently developed, purple Fluorite cubes to 4,2 cm on edge is from the famous La Cabaña deposit at the Berbes mining district in Asturias, the northwestern region of Spain. The individual crystals are exceeding sharp with beveled edges, stepped faces and some excellent quadrangular recesses. The most impressive fact of the specimen is its translucency, combined with the superb multiple phantoms. The perfection gives this great specimen an extra surge of dramatic appearance. Top aesthetics and pristine all around with only one cleavage at the bottom, this piece is from a great find of the late 1990s.
