Description

Another great specimen of the extremely rare Cadmium Carbonate Otavite, on this specimen again, accompanied by botryoidal blue-green Rosasite. Just like the previous specimen, this association gives this outstanding specimen a super contrast, blaze of color and aesthetics, very unusual good for the species. Sparkling cream-white micro crystals richly cover the matrix which shows greenish Smithsonite. Otavite was firstly discovered at Tsumeb by Otto Schneider in 1906 and named after the Otavi Highlands. This is an incredible piece all the way, SUPERRARE, as mentioned earlier, and from the type locality.
