Description

Here is another classic Tsumeb specimen: a highly coveted pseudomorph of Bayldonite after Mimetite. A super aesthetic, 3 cm tall spray of bright green color perched on a piece of matrix. The Mimetite is almost completely transformed into Bayldonite and is accompanied by a small Azurite crystal. This important, colorful piece is most likely from the 1st oxidation zone of the mine, where work was carried out between 1890 and 1910. A small specimen, slightly larger than a thumbnail, however, it is of excellent beauty, quality and rarity.
