Description

Here is a classic and historic specimen of Fluorite from the Freiberg mining district in Germany. This miniature sized specimen features a gemmy, pale lavender to purple, penetration twin Fluorite crystal. The largest Fluorite crystal measures 2,5 cm in diameter. In addition to the two generations of highly fluorescent Fluorites, there are small but sharp and brassy Chalcopyrite crystals on and embedded in the Fluorite. There is only minor bruising on the Fluorites what doesn´t really detract from the great balance and overall aesthetics. Nonetheless, good German Fluorites are very hard to come by, and looking so much like a Weardale piece, the aesthetics are undeniable.
