Description
Fontainebleau, France, is a well-known location for amazing sculptural specimens of Calcite embedded in white sand. In this case it is a cluster of sharp, well-defined Calcite rhombs that almost resembles a sphere or ball. The Calcites have grown together and overlap, creating a distinctive and highly aesthetic look. They are considered French classics and this floater is quite unusual due to its spherical shape and the natural and crystallized hole in the center.
