Description

This is an almost 10 cm wide Aragonite from the Austrian Pinzgau region. White spiky crystals are to 1.5 cm tall. A very unusual habit and quite rare. The specimen comes with two old labels. The locality “Alm bei Saalfelden” translates to Alpine Pasture near Saalfelden, and is probably the Maria Alm, which is known for that Aragonite habit.
