Description
Acanthite crystals on a relatively large, massive piece of Silver ore from the Uranium deposit of Schlema-Hartenstein which is also called Schlema-Alberode (now Bad Schlema). The crystals to 0.5 cm line numerous cavities as well cover as the entire specimen. The crystals are lead gray with a dull metallic luster. Smaller but clearly visible crimson red Proustite coatings are visible. This is a top ore specimen from workings that have been shut down and reclaimed.
