Description
Sprays of whitish Pharmacolite on matrix from the extinct Gabe Gottes Mine [Gift from Above Mine] which has been worked on and off from the mid-16th century until mid-20th century. The mine boasts a resume of being type locality for eight mineral species! Although Pharmacolite is not one of them , it is a good specimen for the locality.
Be aware, that the mine lies within the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines district, and is protected by an Archaeological Mining District Status and all collecting is strictly prohibited.
