Description
Here we see an excellent cluster of intense olive-green Apatite from well known alpine locale Knappenwand of Untersulzbachtal in Pinzgau, Salzburg, which is very famous for its classic world class Epidote finds. The multifaced Apatite here has great luster and excellent clarity. The olive colour is due to numerous embedded Byssolite crystals, which are also richly perched in the gaps between the crystals. A great and very aesthetic, almost pristine piece from a find a few decades or so ago.
