Admittedly, Manganite is not the rarest species and compared with Manganite specimens from Ilfeld, Harz for example, this is just a black rock. But this one comes from the N´Chwaning II Mine of Kalahari Manganese Fields and from here, it is a very good sample. It features slightly bent, sharp and elongated, bladed crystals with high metallic gloss. A superb locality piece with great aesthetic impact considering the locale.
