Description
The Clara Mine, located in the Ranckach Valley, close to Wolfach in the Black Forest produced over decades some of the finest German Barytes. And here we have a typical, but rather uncommon style of the species. A base of amber coloured, blocky crystals hosts a bunch of gemmy, sharp and mirror bright crystals. The colour is almost colourless with a hue of grey-blue. A super specimen probably from the 1970s.
