Description

A superb part of a honey-brown crystal of rare Wöhlerite from the typelocality. The crystal is for that what it is excellent developed, sharp edged and has clear terminations on one side. The clarity is superb as well. First described by Scheerer (1843) from several syenite pegmatites in Langesundsfjorden, Norway, among them Løvøya. The exact typelocality is not known, but since Løvøya was mentioned specially by Scheerer (1843) this island has become listed as the type locality in several publications.(mindat) This is a super opportunity to get hold of a rare species for a REASONABLE PRICE,- and this is not a crumb as usual for rare species.
