Description
The Kornberg (or Kleiner Kornberg) granite quarry, which was abandoned in 1988 and has now been flooded, produced just a few, but excellent Smoky Quartz specimens during its active period of operation. And this piece is definitely one of them. The crystals are relatively short prismatic, reaching 2.1 cm in length with excellent luster, light but distinctive smoky brown colour and excellent idiomorphic crystals. Gemmy with almost completely intact tips with very few exceptions. A top piece that is practically not available on the market.
