This is an incredible specimen, almost too good for the auction. But judge for yourself … A 7 cm tall Calcite cluster from the Sokolovskoe Iron Mine in Kazahstan which is probably best known for the black Andradite variety Melanite. The cluster with gemmy translucent, bright honey yellow crystals to 5.1 cm sits on clusters of small sparkling Calcite crystals. The display side of this top aesthetic piece is pristine, and despite the great photos, it is much better in person!
