Description
Långban, ca. 225 km west northwest of Swedens capital of Stockholm boasts impressive 321 valid mineral species and is type locality of 78 valid minerals. Ganomalite is one of them. And this Ganomalite specimen is very rich with gray-white masses of the rare Lead-Calcium-Manganese silicate on a Phlogopite-rich matrix. The rare species displays an adamantine luster that gave the species its name derived from the Greek term for adamantine.
