Description
What a gorgeous group of brick-red Quartz crystals from the South African Orange River deposits. The color is caused by Hematite inclusion, hence this red Quartz variety is often called Ferruginous Quartz. The crystals of this specimen are to 2.7 cm tall and have a strong silky to almost vitreous luster. Pretty much all the terminations are perfect, some show black and gray subsurface inclusions. A piece with great aesthetics.
