Description
Long prismatic, sharp, water clear Quartz crystals on matrix from the Austrian Habachtal, best known for its Emerald deposit. The crystals show the Dauphiné habit, a crystal form where one or two rhombohedral faces are greatly enlarged. The terminations of the crystals are well developed, the prism faces show an attractive striation. The specimen shows only minor dings. Water clear Quartz crystals from Austria are far more uncommon on the international market compared to their Swiss brethren.
